The goal for GatherNews is to quickly and simply capture news data.

Once you've gathered a custom news dataset, you might want to analyze your
data with nltk_ or gensim_. 

GatherNews depends on two key external libraries: feedparser_
and Simpleflake_ (distributed ID generation for the lazy).
